Focused Trade Mission to Korea for Specialty and Retail Foods

Food Export Midwest is organizing a trade mission to Seoul Korea, October 18-22, 2021. South Korea has proven to be an appealing and profitable market for U.S. companies for many years. USDA's Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Seoul, reports that the U.S. is the leading exporter of agricultural products to Korea with a 24% market share. While total U.S. bulk agricultural exports to Korea dipped in 2019, exports of consumer-oriented products such as meat, dairy, and processed products continue to grow. The trade mission will include: One-on-one meetings with qualified buyers--Pre-event custom product research including market overview, importation analysis and distribution analysis--Market briefing by local USDA, Foreign Agricultural Service and retail store tour--Table top showcase--Dedicated interpreter--Translation of up to 2 pages of materials to Korean.

U.S. Product Showcase and Virtual Meetings: Japan
Dates: November 8-12, 2021
Japan has proven to be an appealing and profitable market for U.S. companies for many years. The USDA Agricultural Trade Office in Osaka reports that Japan is the fourth largest market for U.S. exporters of all food and agricultural products. There are tremendous opportunities for U.S. exporters willing and able to follow the strict Japanese product regulations and keep up with the latest trends in this market. Under the U.S. – Japan Free Trade Agreement (“USJTA" effective January 1, 2020) nearly 90% of U.S. food and agricultural imports into Japan are either duty free or receive preferential tariff access. Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia and VIV Middle East in United Arab Emirates
When: November, 2021
Where: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will lead Wisconsin businesses to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia followed by exhibiting at the VIV Middle East agriculture trade show in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Wisconsin businesses interested in building and expanding trade in the Middle East and North Africa are invited to attend. Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates, serves as the gateway for agricultural markets in the Middle East and Africa, which are in a high-growth phase, with large amounts of imports coming from the U.S. In 2018, the United Arab Emirates totaled $1.0 billion in U.S. agricultural exports, while Saudi Arabia as the largest agricultural country in the region totaled $1.4 billion in U.S. agricultural exports.
