Renewable energy can drive economic growth and environmental benefits in communities most impacted by underemployment, pollution and climate change. GRID Alternatives is a national leader in helping economic and environmental justice communities nationwide get clean, affordable renewable energy, transportation, and jobs. GRID envisions a rapid, equitable transition to a world powered by renewable energy that benefits everyone.

Our mission is to build community-powered solutions to advance economic and environmental justice through renewable energy.

Who We Serve

GRID Alternatives works locally through eight affiliate offices to serve families in California, Colorado, and Mid-Atlantic region. We also have an International Program serving Nicaragua, Nepal and Mexico, and a Tribal Program serving families nationwide.
