Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs
About Us
The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs was created in 1945 to consolidate separate veterans programs under one agency. Today, the WDVA provides grants and a variety of services to eligible Wisconsin veterans and their families. WDVA programs are designed to provide health, educational assistance, economic assistance and other services to specified veterans of the armed forces of the United States. WDVA is organized into The Office of the Secretary, the Office of Public Affairs, the Office of Legal Counsel, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and the Divisions of Enterprise Services, Veterans Benefits and Veterans Homes.
Our Mission
Our mission is to work on behalf of Wisconsin's veterans community — veterans, their families and their survivors — in recognition of their service and sacrifice to our state and nation.
