Small Business Legal Clinic

Small business owners can receive help with a range of legal topics including finance, insurance, contracts, taxes, employment, real estate, and regulatory compliance. These services are designed to support businesses that may not otherwise afford legal counsel. The program does not handle litigation, patent or trademark matters, or commercial real estate transactions. It focuses strictly on brief, preventative legal guidance.

Free consultations are offered weekly via Zoom or phone, in partnership with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic (MVLC). Each session lasts up to one hour and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments open weekly at 11:00 AM. Interested business owners can join the waitlist and find more information at wisbar.org/smallbusiness.
