Reliable and affordable high-speed internet e-Connectivity, or electronic connectivity, is fundamental for economic activity throughout the US. Access to high-speed internet is vital for a diverse set of industries.
The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin is committed to equitable access to broadband service. The Commission and Wisconsin Broadband Office award grants to encourage the deployment of broadband and improve broadband access for Wisconsin residents.
NTIA’s programs and policymaking focus largely on expanding broadband Internet access and adoption in America, expanding the use of spectrum by all users, and ensuring that the Internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth.
The task force will advise the Governor and Wisconsin State Legislature on broadband actions and policy, including strategies for successfully expanding high speed internet access to every residence, business, and institution in the state; initiatives for digital inclusion; and pathways to unlocking and optimizing the benefits of statewide, affordable access to broadband for all communities in Wisconsin.
We work to support communities to accelerate broadband access, increase adoption, improve digital literacy, and reduce digital inequities.
The Wisconsin Broadband Workforce Development Coalition is the state’s workforce intermediary, serving as a liaison between industry stakeholders and policy makers.
The National Broadband Map provides information about the internet services available to individual locations across the country, along with new maps of mobile coverage, as reported by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the FCC’s ongoing Broadband Data Collection.
The Universal Service Fund helps communities and people across the U.S. stay connected to the information, resources, and care they need.

The North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (NCWRPC) is receiving nearly $81,000 in a Capacity Building Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to collect and analyze data on broadband access in the state.
Access to broadband is vital for the economic health and growth of Wisconsin. Yet many homes and businesses have no broadband access or internet service speeds that fall below FCC standards.
