Green Tier Legacy Communities
The Green Tier Legacy Communities (GTLC) charter brings local government leaders together, utilizing their collective knowledge, to make their communities more efficient and effective. Working from a core list of best management practices, members focus on improving their communities’ efforts in transportation, land use, energy, waste, water conservation and public health. While GTLC is voluntary and free to join, there are requirements. Members commit to the following:
• Adopt a Resolution expressing intent to join GTLC.
• Complete the Sustainability Strategies Scoresheet baseline assessment.
• Engage! Actively participate in members’ meetings, contribute to work group efforts, and share your experiences and knowledge.
• Submit an Annual Report – that highlights progress from year to year. Share your community’s sustainability efforts and set a path for continuous improvement.
