Services for Dislocated Workers
If you're a worker who has been laid off (or notified that a layoff is coming) through no fault of your own, often referred to as a 'dislocated worker', we offer services at no cost that focus on preparing you to find a suitable new job. DWD offers an assortment of services for dislocated workers which are listed below. If these services and your ongoing efforts do not produce results in your job search, you may be eligible for additional assistance. Training is available for eligible individuals and can include occupational skills training & certifications, on-the-job training, skills improvement, GED preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), Math and Reading Training, and Registered Apprenticeships. Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development is a state agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's workforce in the 21st century and beyond.
