AmeriCorps Seniors Native Nations and Indigenous Elders Senior Demonstration Program
The Native Nations and Indigenous Elders SDP encourages investment in projects focused on underserved Indigenous and Native communities, advancing opportunities for older adults to make an impact, through their time and experience. Through the Native Nations and Indigenous Elders SDP funding opportunity, applicants must demonstrate how they will engage adults ages 55 and older to address one or more of the Native Nations & Indigenous Elders SDP priorities.
There are 4 funding priorities under this program: public health, climate and the environment, education, and economic opportunity.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, state or local public agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Eligible nonprofit organizations include those led by State-recognized Indian Tribes, those primarily focused on serving Indegenous communities, and those serving Native Hawaiians and Indigenous Islanders in the United States and its territories.
Applicants must demonstrate how they will engage adults ages 55 and older to address one or more of the Indigenous Elders SDP priorities.
