Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants

This program helps eligible communities prepare, or recover from, an emergency that threatens the availability of safe, reliable drinking water.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis!

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include most state and local government entities, nonprofit organizations, and Federally recognized Tribes.

An eligible emergency event includes a drought, flood, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, disease outbreak, and a chemical spill/leak/seepage. A federal disaster declaration is not required.

Eligible areas are rural areas/towns with populations of 10,000 or less, Tribal lands in rural areas, and Colonias.
