Transitioning Tribal Colleges and Universities to Clean Energy

Under this program, Tribal Colleges and Universities apply for
(1) clean energy project and curriculum planning (Topic Area 1); and
(2) clean energy technology and curriculum deployment (Topic Area 2).

Projects selected under this FOA are intended to reduce or stabilize energy costs, increase energy security and resiliency, and be replicable by Indian tribes across the Nation. The soundness of the proposed project, potential benefits, level of commitment, and capabilities of the Applicant and project participants to accomplish the project objectives will be major factors in selecting projects for funding.

Eligible applicants are (1) Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs); and (2) on whose campus(es) the proposed project(s) will be located.

A 10% cost share of the total allowable costs of the project (i.e., the sum of the federal share, and the non-federal Recipient cost share of allowable costs equals the total allowable cost of the project) is required.
